heodore Wirth Golf Course and Theodore Wirth Par 3 Golf Course, located minutes west of downtown Minneapolis was the first golf course developed in the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board System. Established in 1916, Theodore Wirth golf course has evolved into one of the premier golf courses in the state. Noted among area golf enthusiasts for being one of the most difficult tests of golf in the Minneapolis and St. Paul area, Theodore Wirth golf course is beautifully set around Basset Creek and offers several outstanding views of the Minneapolis skyline. The clubhouse, modeled after a Swiss Chalet, has a private reception facility, known as the Fireplace room, that’s available for group and corporate golf outings, weddings, anniversaries and corporate meetings.
Theodore Wirth Golf Course features an 18 hole Championship Golf Course with rolling hills, strategically placed bunkers and water hazards, multiple sets of tees to challenge players of all skill levels and full Food and Beverage Service. During the winter months, Theodore Wirth Golf Course hills become the area’s premier Winter Recreation Facility with Sliding, Tubing, and groomed Cross Country Ski trails. Rentals are available.
